LiM Tec 2006 is the first conference to address the biggest common concern for the business and IT communities, i.e. lifecycle management/optimization of the business and IT systems. The cycle starts with the business modeling, process optimization, systems design, systems implementation, test/deployment, and operations. Model-based technologies such as requirements management, process/rules management, configuration management, IT asset management, as well as information management, are needed for the solution.
As a primary promoter and industry organizer in the model-driven development technologies in Japan, OTI decided to expand the concept and coverage of the UML Forum/Tokyo, an annual technical conference focused on the modeling technologies, to provide one-stop technology event for both business and IT professionals who share the cycles.
Unlike the typical industry events in this country that target just the numbers of attendees, our conferences successfully provided opportunities for the IT professional and industries more than just advertisements. UML Forum/Tokyo was launched by OTI and OMG in 2001 and established itself as the quality, international technical conference supported by leaders of model-driven development.
・ Started in 2001 (as UML Forum/Tokyo) and held annually as high-level conference for the IT professionals
・ Targeted toward leaders and practitioners of model-driven development and IT management:
・ Software systems developers, incl. architects, project managers
・ Business systems managers and consultants
・ Software marketing professionals
・ Promoting Model-driven Development (MDD) paradigm in the IT lifecycle
・ Providing latest information on technologies, products, success stories, etc.
・ Interchanges by top-level engineers, architects, and business professionals
